Converting an Old Pine Dresser Into Modern Heaven
Out with the Old
(.. & in with the New)
Ok.. So I am officially not only a lover of decorating, but also a lover of changing up old (but beautiful) furniture and giving it a modern spin. The two really tie in together because the power of decorating is kicked up several notches once you’ve got your hands on a unique piece!

Unfortunately, I did not get a full shot of the ‘before’ on this older pine dresser but I did get an awkward side shot!

Ok, so I went to work on this old piece in order to restore some of the beauty in its elements. It started out as a relatively simple piece. Not ornate and without many details. Because of this, I decided to bring out some excitement by painting it two different colors.
I love the softness of the gray outline combined with the punch of the darker drawers. Something about it just says ‘WOW’.
A little distressing.. and ta da. I may actually go back and a add a little distress to the top and sides. It can only add to its beauty.
And finally, the shot that really captures the entirety of my old pine dresser, redone!
The piece really looks great!
